New structure Twin-roll
Compared with the previous structure casting roll, the new type structure casting roll has the following advantages:
1 . Design the barrel of the roll core as a flat roll, and use the professional equipment made by our company to process the water channel in the inner hole of the roll shell. When the casting roll works, the cooling water in the roll is cooled directly through the water channel of the inner hole of the roll shell.

Surface with the cooling water, the new structure shell is three contact surfaces with the cooling water), not only the cooling effect of the roll shell is enhanced, but the roll shell is cooled more evenly, thus the quality of the casting strip profile and the casting speed of the caster are improved.
(2) Strengthen the cooling effect and the uniform cooling performance of the roll shell, effectively control the accumulation of the stress in the roll shell, so that the thermal fatigue crack depth of the roll barrel is unifonn, the cycle of the thermal fatigue crack is extended, and the service life of the roll shell is prolonged.
(3) The material of the roll shell is high alloy steel. The mechanical properties of the roll shell are much better than the material of the roll core 42CrMo. The barrel of core is designed to be flat roll. The support reinforcement of the material of the shell is greatly increased with the material of the core, improving the quality of the casting aluminum strip profile.
(4) Processing through the water channel inside shell inner hole, can effectively reduce the scale and corrosion of the water channel.
2. The barrel of roll core is designed to a flat roll which avoids the damage and corrosion of the original structure of the core water channel and the support rib, and the support strength of the supporting reinforcement material caused by the long-term use water channel is fully new after roll changing the shell every time), which leads to the quality problem of the casting strip profile. The roll core scrap is mainly caused by the breakage, corrosion, material fatigue and the maintenance of the support rib when each casting roll is replaced by shell, resulting in the depth of the water channel, the width of the support rib and the decrease of the diameter of the roll core. The barrel of core is designed to a flat roll effectively avoids the above circumstances and can greatly prolong the service life of the roll core.
3. The barrel of core is designed to be a flat roll, when the roll is replaced the shell compared with the original structure, does not need to clean the water scale and corrosion in the water channel and repair the water channel and the support rib of the roll barrel. It only needs grind and machine the roll barrel directly, which reduces the working strength of the shell changing and avoids the damage to the roll core.
4. As the roll core is a flat, normally the barrel of the roll core no need overlay stainless steel, if need overlay, the thickness of the surface layer is controlled by 3-4 mm (the thickness of the original roll core stainless steel surface overlay layer is 16mm), which reduces the manufacturing cost of the casting roll. The inner hole of the shell is manufactured the water channel by our own designed professional processing equipment. The processing cost can be effectively controlled, and the price of the roll shell is basically the same as the original structure.
